Prior to entering the field of law, Hugh served seven years in the U.S. Army where he was an intelligence analyst at the National Security Agency. After leaving active duty, Hugh served another seven years in the Oklahoma National Guard - first as an intelligence analyst and later as a law clerk for the office of the Judge Advocate General.

Hugh started working at the firm in 2003 in his 2nd year of law school as a Licensed Legal Intern. He graduated from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2004 with a Juris Doctorate degree and a Certificate in Business Law, Financial Services and Commercial Law Concentration.

Upon passing the bar in 2005, Hugh became an associate of the firm. In 2011 Hugh was promoted to partner and in 2016 Hugh became the managing partner of the firm. Hugh began serving as the CEO of the firm in 2025.

Since beginning his law practice, Hugh has graduated from the Northwest | Kellogg Finance for Executives, the National Creditors Bar Association’s Compliance Certification Course and the University of Oklahoma’s Lean Institute’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program.

Hugh previously served as the president of the Oklahoma City Commercial Law Attorneys Association. Hugh is a founding member of the Creditor's Bar Association of Oklahoma (CBAO) and currently serves as the CBAO president. Hugh’s law practice is exclusively devoted to consumer collection litigation.
